Assessment dimensions and methodology
ReadyScan measures five dimensions of learning transformation, three statements in each, plus a profile of your pre-class learning and transformation context.
How your score is calculated
Each statement is rated on a five-point scale: Not in place, Emerging, Developing, Established and Embedded. Each dimension is scored from 0 to 100, and your overall Transformation Readiness Score is the average of the five dimensions. Your two lowest-scoring dimensions are reported as your key gaps.
A separate Pre-Learn Maturity Index (0 to 100) reflects the richness of pre-class content (40 points), how many courses use it (20), how completion is tracked (20) and typical completion rates (20).
Readiness bands
- Early stageBelow 40. Traditional teaching is still the dominant model.
- Emerging40 to 59. Promising initiatives, not yet connected.
- Developing60 to 79. Strong foundations, ready to connect and scale.
- Advanced80 and above. Focus on consistency and institution-wide scale.

Who should complete it
Vice Chancellors and Pro Vice Chancellors, deans, directors, heads of department, IQAC and quality teams, and programme heads. It works best when completed by someone who knows teaching practice across programmes, or by two or three leaders separately so you can compare views.
